ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio baseball program has two prospect camps scheduled for late summer and early fall of 2008. The first will take place on Aug. 23 and the date for the second camp will be Oct. 4.

The camps will give student-athletes a chance to showcase their skills in front of college coaches and professional scouts. The Ohio University baseball staff, college coaches from all divisions and professional scouts from Ohio and surrounding areas will be in attendance. Nine of Ohio's 11 scholarship student-athletes in the 2004 recruiting class and seven of the Ohio's 12 scholarship student-athletes in the 2005 recruiting class attended one of the previous prospect camps.

Each camp will begin with registration at 8:00 a.m. at Bob Wren Stadium and end at approximately 6:30 p.m. Pre-registration for the camps is encouraged as a maximum of 72 student-athletes will be permitted into each camp. The camp is restricted to 2009, 2010 and 2011 high school graduates. The fee for the camp is $205. Each athlete will be provided lunch and a t-shirt.

To assure a spot in the camp, pre-registration is encouraged. To pre-register click here for a printable registration form that can mailed in with full payment.
