Ohio Baseball Cancels Season Opener

ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University baseball team has cancelled its 2014 season opener with Western Carolina this weekend because of poor weather conditions in the Cullowhee, N.C. area.

The three-game series with the Catamounts was originally scheduled to begin on Friday, but was then pushed back to Saturday because of the weather.

With the cancellation of this week's series, Ohio will now open up the year on Friday, Feb. 21 at Noon in the 2014 UNC-Wilmington Tournament. The 'Cats will faceoff against Liberty and UNC during the three-day tournament.
