Freezing Temperatures Cancel Baseball for Second Straight Day

ATHENS, Ohio - Due to sub-freezing temperatures, Ohio University baseball's game against the University of Cincinnati, scheduled for 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 3 in Chillicothe, Ohio has been canceled, head coach Joe Carbone has announced. As of now, the game will not be made up, but the Bobcats and Bearcats are still scheduled to meet twice this season, May 5 in Cincinnati and May 12 in Athens.

Ohio (1-3), who hasn't played since Feb. 22 due to rain or cold weather canceling games, is slated to hold its home opener Wednesday, March 4 at 4 p.m. at Bob Wren Stadium against the Pittsburgh Panthers (1-2). Live stats are scheduled to be available on OhioBobcats.com.
