Ohio Falls At Home To Cincinnati, 11-2
The Ohio University baseball team (13-15; 3-3 MAC) ended its home stand with an 11-2 loss to Cincinnati Tuesday night at Bob Wren Stadium, dropping the Bobcats' home record to 9-6.
The Ohio University baseball team (4-18) returns to action Tuesday afternoon as it heads to Cincinnati for a midweek matchup at Marge Schott Stadium. The Bobcats' matchup with the Bearcats is set for 1 p.m.
NOTING THE BOBCATS
-Ohio will play its first road game since March 12.
-The Bobcats had played their previous eight games at Bob Wren Stadium.
-Ohio returns to action after dropping two of three games this past weekend against Toledo.
-Ohio has posted double-digit hit totals in four of its last seven games.

-Ohio scored a season-high 15 runs in its 20-15 setback to Youngstown State on March 15.
-The Bobcats pounded out a season-high 18 hits in their 20-15 loss at home against Youngstown State this past Tuesday, which marked the eighth time this season Ohio has posted double-digit hit totals.
-Ohio's pitching staff struck out a season-best 10 batters against High Point on March 5.
-Freshman right-hander Jake Miller's seven walks are the fewest among all Ohio starters.

RECAPPING THE TOLEDO SERIES
The Ohio University baseball team dropped two of three games this past weekend to Toledo as it opened Mid-American Conference play at Bob Wren Stadium. Both of Ohio's losses to the Rockets were decided by three runs or less. The `Cats lost the opener 8-5, but rebounded with a 9-3 win in game one of its doubleheader on Saturday. In the series finale, Ohio fell 5-2. Senior Dan Schmidt led the Bobcats offensively as he went 4-of-8 at the plate with two doubles and three RBI. Senior left-hander Marck Paliotto picked up his first win of the year in game one on Saturday against the Rockets. In 5.0 innings of work, Paliotto worked 5.0 innings and struckout three.
Ohio will faceoff against Cincinnati for the 105th time in school history on Tuesday. Ohio leads the all-time series 58-45-1. The first meeting took place on April 19, 1907. The last time the two teams met was back in a midweek series in 2012. In that meeting on April 3, the Bobcats dropped an 11-2 decision at home.
The Bearcats (7-13) come into their midweek matchup with Ohio, having dropped three straight games. Cincinnati was winners of three of their last four games before getting swept by USF this past weekend. Starting pitcher Christian McElroy will take to the mound for the sixth time on Tuesday afternoon. In six appearances this season for the Bearcats, McElroy has an earned run average of 6.75.
