THE PITCHING MATCHUP
Friday: RHP Jake Miller (Ohio) vs. TBA (MU)
Ohio will faceoff against Marshall for the 158th time in school history on Tuesday. Last season, the Bobcats faced off against the Herd twice a year ago, dropping the first game 6-1. In the second game, the game was called because of weather. Ohio leads the all-time series with a 111-44-1 mark.
The Herd (13-22) come into their midweek game with the Bobcats, having lost seven of their last 10 games. Despite losing five straight, Marshall had a chance to take two of three from Southern Miss losing both games by a run each. In the finale of that series Marshall had a three-run lead going into the bottom of the eighth when they gave up four to Southern Miss and ultimately lost the game. Senior outfielder Isaac Ballou is batting .321 for the Herd and leads the team with 29 runs, 43 hits, 10 doubles and a slugging percentage of .410.

The Bobcats lost both games in extra innings. Ohio rebounded in the series finale, downing the Zips 4-2. Freshman Connor Sitz picked up the win for the Bobcats.
