The Ohio University baseball team returns to the diamond at 3 p.m. (ET) on Tuesday for a midweek matchup with Youngstown State at Eastwood Field.
NOTING THE BOBCATS
-Ohio will play its eighth opponent from the state of Ohio as it takes on Youngstown State on Tuesday.
-The Bobcats are one of just two teams in the Mid-American Conference that has a record of .500-or-better.
-Ohio is batting .328 (63-192) as a team in its last five games.
-Freshman Cody Gaertner leads all Bobcats with a .563 batting average in his last five games.
-Senior Ethan Newton has a team-best 18 stolen bases on the year and 38 in his career, which ranks third all-time.
-Newton is in the midst of a team-best 13-game hitting streak.
-The Bobcats Earned Run Average of 3.36 is the best in the Mid-American Conference, entering this week.
-Ohio has five players which are batting .300-or better.

-Painter's 11 home runs is just one shy of Youngstown State's entire team (12).

SERIES INFORMATION - YOUNGSTOWN STATE
Ohio will faceoff against Youngstown State for the 31st time in school history on Tuesday. The Bobcats lead the all-time series 21-9. The two teams met last season with the Bobcats earning a 5-4 victory over the Penguins.
THE SCOUT ON YOUNGSTOWN STATE
Youngstown State (4-30) enters Tuesday's matchup in the midst of a nine-game losing streak. The Penguins dropped its three-game series at home to Valparaiso this past weekend. Freshman right-hander Russ Harless gets the start and leads the team with a 5.91 ERA. Harless has made three previous starts, including as a member of the conference rotation each of the past two weekends. Harless also provided YSU with its longest outing by a starting pitcher this season when he went 7 2/3 innings against Valparaiso this past Friday. Offensively, Jeremy Banks leads the team in batting average (.405), doubles (10), home runs (5) and RBI (26).
