Ohio will faceoff against Morehead State for the 31st time in school history on Tuesday. The Bobcats hold the all-time series lead with a 23-7 advantage. Tuesday evening's meeting will mark the second-straight season Ohio has faced off against the Eagles. In last season's meeting, Ohio defeated MSU 9-1. Junior left-hander Sean Kennedy (Columbus, Ohio) earned the win after he worked 5.1 innings of relief. Kennedy allowed three hits, one run and struck out one. Prior to last season's contest, the two teams had not met since 1994.
SCOUTING MOREHEAD STATE
The Eagles enter their midweek matchup with Ohio in the midst of a five-game winning streak, which is their longest streak since 2005. During MSU's current winning streak, the Eagle offense has produced a .320 batting average. Meanwhile, the pitching staff has limited those three opponents in those five games to only a .270 effort. Brandon Rawe leads the team with a .426 batting average. He is one of five Eagle players that are batting over .300 this spring.
