ATHENS, Ohio-Ohio junior pitcher Jason Moulton was named MAC East Pitcher of the Week for the second straight week Monday.
Moulton tossed Ohio's first complete game in nearly two seasons as he dominated host Akron with a dazzling performance on Friday. He yielded no earned runs on just five hits and no walks, while striking out seven batters to give the Bobcats a 6-1 win. Akron's hitters managed just a .152 batting average against Moulton during the contest.
The Toledo, Ohio native currently boasts a 2.88 ERA in league play, limiting opposing hitters to just a .242 batting average, with 36 strikeouts and just 11 walks in 40 and two-thirds innings.
The Bobcats are scheduled to face Xavier at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the 2010 home finale.
