ATHENS, Ohio - Ohio Head Coach Joe Carbone has announced that Brent Choban has signed a letter of intent to play baseball with the Bobcats next season. Choban becomes the 10th member of Ohio's incoming 2008 class.

Choban is currently a senior at Archbishop Hoban High School in Akron, Ohio, and is rated the No. 20 prospect in the state by The Buckeye Scout. Choban is a 6-foot-2, 190 pound outfielder and left-handed pitcher. His coach at Archbishop Hoban is Ted Guscoff.

Choban joins, Michael Dillion (Bel Aire, Md.), J.R. Reynolds (Cincinnati, Ohio), Cody Young (Bellefonte, Pa.) Rex Ingham (Colorado Spring, Colo.) Bryce Butt (Omaha, Neb.), Douglas Holmes (Twinsburg, Ohio), Nick Egan (Wheaton, Ill.), Julian McWilliams (New York), Bobby Martin (Crystal Lake, Ill.) in the Bobcats' incoming class for 2008.
