TUSCON, Az.-Ohio junior left fielder Robert Maddox III was named a third team All-American by Collegiate Baseball Thursday afternoon.
Maddox, who was also named first team All-Mid-American Conference this season, became the 26th Bobcat in program history to claim All-America honors.
The Euclid, Ohio native ranks first this season in the Mid-American Conference in home runs (21), total bases (174) and slugging percentage (.737), second in RBIs (78), sixth in doubles (20), seventh in hits (89) and eighth in batting average (.377).
His superb 2010 campaign also placed him near the top of the program’s single-season records. He stands atop the RBIs category (78), second in total bases (174), tied for second in home runs (21), fourth in hits (89) and slugging percentage (.737) and tied for fifth in doubles (20).
He is also the Bobcats’ all-time leader in RBIs (181), fourth in home runs (43) and total bases (411), seventh in hits (231) and ninth in runs (146).
