Ohio Baseball to Hold #Wrenfest on Wednesday

ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University baseball team will hold its second annual #Wrenfest scrimmage on Wednesday, Oct. 2 inside Bob Wren Stadium. This year's event is presented by McDonald's.

Gates for the event will open up at 5:45 p.m. with the game beginning at 6:30 p.m. The game will last seven innings.

"Wrenfest was a huge success last year and we're excited to hold this event for the second-consecutive year," said second-year head coach Rob Smith. "This will be a great opportunity to get our fans involved with our players in what we hope is going to be a very exciting season. Our players and coaches have been working extremely hard this fall and are looking forward to taking the field in front of our fans."

Those who attend will be treated to free food from McDonalds and free sunglasses for the first 400 fans. All fans in attendance will entered in a raffle for a chance to win $500 dollars cash. Fans must be present to claim the cash giveaway.

In addition to the giveaway, fans will be treated to inflatable games and cornhole will also be included at this year's event.

This season, Ohio returns seven everyday players that combined for 152 runs, 311 hits and 140 RBI.
