One of the most decorated players in Ohio Valley University history, Chris Cobbina is in his first season as a graduate assistant with the Ohio University men's basketball program. He also served as a volunteer assistant with the Bobcats in 2007-08.

Cobbina earned a full athletic scholarship to NCAA Division II Ohio Valley State University, where he was a four-year starter and three-year team captain. He garnered all-conference honors in each of his final three collegiate seasons, while earning conference player of the week accolades several times. Cobbina amassed nearly 1,600 points and more than 600 rebounds over the course of his collegiate career, and was named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll twice.

In addition to working camps at West Virginia and Ohio Valley, Cobbina served as co-director for the Bobcats' camps in the summer of 2008.

Following his graduation with a degree in secondary education and a minor in special education, Cobbina joined the coaching staff at Ohio Valley for a year. The Toronto, Ontario, native is currently pursuing a Master's degree in coaching education at Ohio, and plans to complete his studies during the spring quarter of 2009.
