High School Pound for pound, Taylor was one of the most dynamic prospects in the class of 2011. A solid shooter with range, Taylor can be a human fast break with his speed, quickness and ball-handling ability. He played his AAU ball with All-Ohio Red and led it to a win (32 points) over the Drew Gooden Soldiers from Oakland that featured four Top 100 recruits. Taylor led Gahanna to its first unbeaten regular season, its first district and regional championship and its first state-tournament appearance in the school's history. An Honorable Mention All-Ohio Division I selection, he was also listed as the 44th highest-ranked point guard in the 2011 class.
