Convocation Center - Athens, Ohio
--The 47 points allowed by Ohio matched a season-low (Bucknell). The 19 second half points that the Chippewas tallied was a season-low as well.
--Leon Williams recorded his 36th career double-double and his ninth of the season. He has also led Ohio in rebounding in 17 of 20 games this season. Williams is in sole possession of ninth in Ohio's scoring records with 1,500 points. John Devereaux (1980-84) is eighth with 1,502. He is also within 83 rebounds (967) of tying Gary Trent for second in that category as well. Finally, Williams also tied the school record for fouls (387) in a career with three against the Cardinals.
--The Bobcats forced a season-high 24 turnovers by the Chippewas Tuesday. That was the most for a Bobcat opponent since Northern Illinois made 25 in a 81-74 defeat of Ohio last season (2/10/07) in the Convo. The 45 combined turnovers in the game was also the most in an Ohio contest since Dec. 17, 2005 when the Bobcats made 20 and Shippensburg made 28 in a 73-57 Ohio win in the Convo. Ohio is 9-1 this season when it forces more or equals the amount of turnovers its opponent makes.
--The Bobcats have held seven of their last eight opponents under 60 points. Ohio's last three opponents have finished with exactly 59 points. Ohio has allowed just 56.3 points in league games, compared to 68.5 in its 13 non-conference games.
--CMU's 29 3-point attempts matched a season-high for an Ohio opponent. The last time an opponent took more was Toledo when it shot 30 last season (1/31/07) in a 91-80 Ohio win in the Convo.
--Bubba Walther moved into sole possession of 10th in school history in 3-pointers made (111).
--The Bobcats are 12-0 this season when they lead with 10 minutes remaining the game.
