Ohio University Postgame Quotes
Columbus, Ohio | Value City Arena

Ohio Head Coach Jim Christian
On what the team did to get back in the game in the second half
"We got more stops. We played harder and got easier stops. There isn't a better team defensively in the country [than Ohio State], especially on the perimeter. That's why we wanted to play them because they exposed some things that we need to fix and we showed things that we did well."

On the team's mentality early in the game
"I think we were tentative in the first six or seven minutes of the game. We were worried about getting back on defense that we didn't attack the glass. But we did in the second half."

Senior Guard Nick Kellogg
On what the team's mindset was when Ohio got down early
"For the most part we were just out there trying to compete and not giving up. We wanted to keep fighting and that's what we did. With that never quit mentality, we took a step forward today."

On playing a game in the city where he was raised
Obviously growing up in Columbus and my pops being who he is, I guess this is home. But at the end of the day, I prefer Athens. But it was nice to come back to Columbus and play here. It's the first time I've played here in college, so yeah it's home.

Junior Guard Stevie Taylor
On how he thought the team performed
We talked about playing solid and doing what the coaches wanted us to do and I think we did that. But we are not satisfied with our performance tonight. We have to get back to practice and go even harder. I think this is going to fuel us to have a great season."

On his career-high 21-point performance
"I want to keep getting better every day. There are some things I have to sure up for this team to maximize its potential. I felt like I played well, but at the end of the day, we did lose and we need to improve."
