ATHENS, Ohio - Senior Ivo Baltic scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Ohio University men's basketball team (2-0) to an 85-47 victory over UNC-Wilmington Friday night at the Convocation Center.

The Bobcats' win over the Seahawks marked Ohio's 11th-consecutive win at home dating back to last season.

Baltic (Kansas City, Mo.) was one four players that finished in double figures. Senior Reggie Keely (University Heights, Ohio) came off the bench and finished the night with 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting. Senior Walter Offutt (Indianapolis, Ind.) and junior Nick Kellogg(Westerville, Ohio) finished with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Senior D.J. Cooper (Chicago, Ill.) posted a game-high 14 assists, finishing just one helper shy of his single-game career-high. As a team, Ohio forced UNCW in to 26 turnovers and held a 35-23 advantage on the boards.

Ohio jumped out to a 13-point lead in the first three minutes of the game, forcing the Seahawks in to five turnovers during the stretch. Offutt scored six points during the 'Cats early run as Ohio never looked back, posting a wire to wire victory.

The Seahawks, who had not faced the Bobcats since the 1988-89 season surrendered 21 points off of turnovers in the first half and were held to just 14.3 percent shooting in the first half. UNCW did cut the Bobcats' lead to nine (20-11) with 10:50 to go in the first half, but that would be as close as the Seahawks would get for the remainder of the game.

Ohio held UNCW to just six points for the remainder of the first half and built a 20-point lead heading into the locker room. Ohio came out of the locker room firing once again as it opened the second half with an 8-2 run to put the game out of reach.

The Bobcats return to action on Sunday as it faces off against Wofford.
