Recap |  Box Score

Head Coach Jim Christian:
Opening statement:On tonight's free throw percentage: "I'm more concerned with the number of free throws we're getting and giving than I am with our percentage. Obviously, we want to make them. We're close to 70 percent now again after tonight. We have to keep getting to the free throw line, that's how you win games."

On outrebounding Mercer: "They're a team that shoots the ball well. Coming into the game, they shot nearly 49 percent as a team. Tonight, we held them under 40 percent. I don't think anybody has shot over 40 percent on us yet, in six games. I think that's a testament to how hard these guys are playing."

On TJ's performance in the second half: "I think our seniors won this game for us. TJ (Hall) down the stretch had two huge plays. He has a great ability to create shots right along the basket. He's a confident player."

Jon Smith:
On his last two games: "I'm just being more aggressive and playing ready. And not taking any play off, especially when it comes to offensive rebounds. I'm just trying to get every one."

On the chemistry he has with Maurice (Ndour): "I feel like that's just something we try to emphasize. It's very important because we're pretty much interchangeable."

On the team's performance so far this season: "We've got a lot of guys that have played a lot of big minutes and have played some really good key roles. It was a good team effort and I knew we were going to be able to come together. I'm not satisfied with either though, we need to keep going."

Maurice Ndour:
On tonight's performance: "I just step up and I just shoot the ball with confidence every time I'm called. Even though we didn't play well early, we just had to stay aggressive, rebound the ball and get to the foul line."

TJ Hall:
On what drives him to play his best: "Just playing with these guys. Seeing them play with energy just picks my game up more. I want to come in and help these guys any way I can."

On the team's rebounding performance: "We're a pretty big front line team. Ricardo (Johnson) and I are interchangeable. It's just been a long time coming. We needed to get big on offensive boards. It was just a great game for us."
