ATHENS, Ohio – The Ohio University men’s basketball team’s January 25 game at Eastern Michigan has been picked up by ESPNU, the league office announced Monday.
Ohio and Eastern Michigan will square off at 11 a.m. inside EMU’s Convocation Center. The Bobcats won last season’s meeting in Athens, 73-50, and hold a 45-23 edge in the all-time series.
In addition to the contest against the Eagles, the Bobcats will have as many as eight additional MAC games televised on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel and/or the ESPN Family of Networks.
Games to appear on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel/ESPN3 include contests at Kent State (Jan. 8, 7 p.m.), vs. Akron (Jan. 12, 6 p.m.), vs. Ball State (Jan. 15, 8 p.m.), vs. Miami (Feb. 8, 2 p.m.), at Toledo (Feb. 12, 7 p.m.) and at Akron (Feb. 22, 6 p.m.).
Two other games can be picked up as part of the league’s television package. The Feb. 1 home contest vs. Toledo is a candidate to be picked up by Time Warner or ESPNU, while the regular season finale at Miami (Mar. 7 or 8) can be selected by ESPN2 or Time Warner.
The Bobcats make their MAC television debut on Wednesday (Jan. 8) at Kent State, with tip-off scheduled for 7 p.m.
