- Ohio Basketball encourages all fans to wear black for their Saturday, Feb. 18 game as part of a planned blackout of the Convo for the Bobcats' annual appearance in the ESPN BracketBuster event. The Bobcats will take on UNC Asheville at 7 p.m.
The game is presented by Frontier Communications and the first 4,000 fans will receive a free black rally towel courtesy of Frontier Communications.
As part of the blackout, Ohio will wear their new all-black uniforms, which were first unveiled during the January 18 game vs. Kent State. Beginning in February, Russell Athletic will be offering blackout-themed merchandise at several local retailers.
Ohio Athletics is also pleased to offer the authentic Ohio Basketball black jerseys for sale for a limited time! For just $110, fans can purchase the authentic special edition jersey worn during Ohio's win against Kent State on February 18. At no additional charge, fans are able to customize their jersey order by selecting the name and number that will appear on their jersey. The authentic shorts worn during the game are also on sale for just $50. The black uniform sale will close on Wednesday, Feb. 1.
To place an order, visit OhioBobcats.com and click on the "Purchase Tickets" tab. From there, fans will be linked to an order form for the jerseys and shorts. Fans can select the quantity of jerseys and shorts they would like to order in the "Quantity" box and click "Reserve Tickets" to confirm their Ohio Basketball black jersey/shorts order.
Fans can choose their size by clicking on the ticket type drop-down box, which will bring up the jersey/shorts sizes. Fans can enter the name and number they would like on the jersey after the payment step by typing in the customer comment box.
