ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio men's basketball squad (17-11, 8-6 MAC) will play host to longtime rival Miami (15-12, 10-4 MAC) in a crucial conference tilt on Senior Night this Thursday in the Convocation Center at 7 p.m.

Down to the Wire:
Just two regular season games remain for teams to position themselves for the MAC Tournament. Know the Opponent: The Miami RedHawks compete in the MAC East Division. The institution has a total enrollment of 16,300 students and joined the MAC in its second year, 1947.

Ohio vs. Miami
This Year:
This is the second of two meetings between Ohio and Miami. The RedHawks defeated the Bobcats 72-69 in overtime on Jan. 21 in Oxford. All-Time: Ohio holds a 91-85 edge in the most-played series in the history of the MAC. The two teams first met on the hardwood in Ohio's inaugural season of basketball, 1907-08.

The Coaches
Ohio's
Tim O'Shea: O'Shea is in his sixth year on the sidelines at Ohio. He has compiled a record of 98-80 in Athens, which is also his career record. He led the 2004-05 Bobcats to the NCAA Tournament after capturing the MAC Tournament title. Miami's Charlie Coles: In his 11th season at Miami, Coles is currently 282-222 career record which includes a 92-84 mark at Central Michigan from 1985-91.

Thursday's game will be carried live on the Ohio Sports Network and the broadcast will commence one-half hour prior to tip-off with Derek Scott serving as the play-by-play announcer. Senior Night:
Ohio will honor its five basketball seniors during a pregame ceremony. Senior team managers, dance team members and cheerleaders will also be recognized. Champions Recognized: Ohio will recognized its fall MAC championship teams: women's cross country, field hockey, football and volleyball. Dr. Pepper Night: A Dr. Pepper bicycle and Dr. Pepper coffee table will be give away during the game. Dr. Pepper T-shirts will also be tossed into the crowd. Lifeline Ohio: The organization will have a booth setup to promote organ donation and Lifeline Ohio spokeswomen, Ohio women's basketball Head Coach Sylvia Crawley, will be recognized during a presentation.
