ATHENS, Ohio - The fifth-seeded Ohio men's basketball squad (18-12) will head to Cleveland for a date in the first round of the Mid-American Conference Tournament against No. 12 Bowling Green (13-17). The two teams are schedueld to tip on Wednesday at 3 p.m., in Quicken Loans Arena.
Tip-Off
Postseason Opener: The No. 5 Bobcats will take on No. 12 Bowling Green in the first round of the 2007 Mid-American Conference Tournament. Know the Opponent: The Bowling Green Falcons compete in the East Division of the MAC. The institution has an enrollment of 21,000 students and joined the MAC in 1952.
Ohio vs. Bowling Green
This Year: Wednesday's tilt will mark the third time this year that Ohio and Bowling Green will meet on the hardwood. The Bobcats defeated the Falcons 67-49 in Athens on Jan. 11, and 88-63 on Feb. 21 in Bowling Green. All-Time: The Falcons hold a 65-57 edge in the all-time series between the two programs, which dates back to the 1921-22 season. MAC Tournament: This will mark the seventh time that Ohio and Bowling Green have met in MAC Tournament play. The Falcons hold a 4-2 edge in such match-ups.
The Coaches
Ohio's Tim O'Shea: O'Shea is in his sixth year on the sidelines at Ohio. He has compiled a record of 99-81 in Athens, which is also his career record. He led the 2004-05 Bobcats to the NCAA Tournament after capturing the MAC Tournament title. Bowling Green's Dan Dakich: In his 10th season at Bowling Green, Dakich is currently 156-139 at the helm of program and he currently ranks 10th on the MAC's all-time coaching victories list.

Radio: Wednesday's game will be carried live on the Ohio Sports Network and the broadcast will commence one-half hour prior to tip-off with Derek Scott serving as the play-by-play announcer. When/Where: The 2007 Mid-American Conference Tournament will be held March 7-10 in Cleveland's Quicken Loans Arena. What's New This Year: For the first time since the tournament moved to Cleveland in 2000, the first round will be held in The Q. Ohio Ticket Info: To ensure better seats and better prices, Bobcat fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets for the MAC Tourney through the Ohio Ticket Office at the Ohio Athletics table located in the Arcade Lobby of Quicken Loans Arena starting two hours prior to Ohio games.
