Setty, Wilkins Named Academic All-MAC Honorable Mention

Wilkins led the MAC in 3-point field goal percentage this season.

ATHENS, Ohio – Ohio University men’s basketball student-athletes Treg Setty (Maysville, Ky.) and Travis Wilkins (Springfield, Mo.) have been named to the Academic All-MAC Honorable Mention team, the league office announced Wednesday.

Setty, a redshirt sophomore, and Wilkins, a senior, each earned MAC academic accolades for the first time in their respective careers.

The duo helped Ohio earn 25 wins in 2013-14 for just the third time in school history and led the Bobcats to the quarterfinals of the CollegeInsider.com Post-Season Tournament.

Treg Setty | Redshirt Sophomore | 3.212 GPA | Communication Studies
Averaged 3.0 points and 2.1 rebounds per game in 2013-14…Upped those averages to 3.2 ppg and 2.6 rpg while shooting 43.2 percent from the field in conference action…Averaged 5.9 ppg, 3.5 rpg over Ohio’s final 11 contests….Notched eight points, career-high 11 rebounds at Miami on March 8…Season high 13 points vs. Cleveland State in the CIT First Round.

Travis Wilkins | Senior | 3.570 GPA | Psychology
Led the MAC in 3-point field goal percentage overall (.430) and in conference play (.494)…T-6th in the MAC in league play with 2.2 3-pointers made/game…Ranked third on the Bobcats with 9.2 ppg and 1.9 apg in league play…10+ points in eight games…Knocked down multiple 3-pointers in 15 contests…Notched a career-best 23 points and knocked down a career-high 6 3-pointers vs. Miami on Feb. 8…17 points (5-7 3pt FG) and a career-high eight rebounds at Toledo on Feb. 12.
