ATHENS, Ohio – Former Ohio University guard D.J. Cooper (Chicago, Ill.) has been added to the Golden State Warriors Las Vegas Summer League roster, the team announced Monday evening.
Golden State's Summer League schedule begins against the Washington Wizards on Saturday, July 13, The game will be broadcast live on NBA TV (1:00 p.m. PDT). The slate also includes games against the Sacramento Kings on Monday, July 15, and the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday, July 16.
Following those three preliminary round games, the Warriors will be seeded accordingly in the debut of a tournament-style schedule that will culminate in a championship game on July 22, crowning the first-ever NBA Summer League Champion. In 2012, the Warriors' summer entry became the 10th team in Las Vegas Summer League history to post an undefeated record.
The 2013 NBA Summer League will feature 22 teams competing in a 61-game schedule from July 12-22 at the Thomas & Mack Center and the COX Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas. In addition to a full slate of games on NBA TV, all NBA Summer League games will once again be available via NBA Summer League Live on NBA.com and NBA Mobile.
Cooper is currently competing with the Philadelphia 76ers in the OPSL. The Sixers return to action on Wednesday at 1 p.m. against the Oklahoma City Thunder (NBA TV).
