ATHENS, Ohio-The Ohio men’s and women’s basketball teams will hold their first annual “Hardwood Hysteria” Friday, October 16, at the Convocation Center in what will be the first day of practice for both programs. “Hardwood Hysteria” will be open to the public with free admission to all fans. The event will begin approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the Ohio-Toledo volleyball match, which is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Second-year men’s head coach John Groce will hold the first practice of the 2009-2010 season during “Hardwood Hysteria”, which will consist of an intrasquad scrimmage, a dunk contest, and a three-point shooting contest with the women’s team.

In addition to the three-point contest, Semeka Randall’s women’s team will perform a musical skit, and hold a scrimmage of its own.

“Hardwood Hysteria” will be held in conjunction with the Yell Like Hell Homecoming Pep Rally that will also take place at the Convocation Center.
