ATHENS, Ohio - Ohio University men's basketball signees D.J. Cooper (Chicago, Ill.) and Marquis Horne (Cincinnati, Ohio) were named the best incoming point guard and small forward, respectively, in the Mid-American Conference by Rivals.com on Wednesday night.

Ohio is the only school in the MAC to place multiple players on the breakdown of the best incoming player at each position in every high to mid-major conference in the country. The Bobcats were also one of just 16 schools across the nation to sign more than one of the top positional players in their league, joining such programs as North Carolina, Texas, Kansas and UCLA.

Ohio will begin regular-season play on Sunday, when it welcomes William & Mary to the Convocation Center for a 2 p.m. ET showdown. The Bobcats have won their last 13 season-opening home games, and their last four overall season openers. Tickets may be purchased at ohiobobcats.com, by calling (800) 575-CATS or by visiting the Ohio Ticket Office, located on the concourse level of The Convo.
