ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University men's basketball team (2-0) will take on Wofford Sunday afternoon at the Convocation Center. The Bobcats' matchup with the Terriers will mark their second game in the last three days.
Ohio and Wofford will faceoff for the first time in school history on Sunday.
In 2012-13, Wofford will be turning to youth as thirteen of the fifteen players on the roster are freshmen or sophomores. The team will look to continue a stretch of reaching the postseason for three straight years (NCAA 2010, 2011; CBI 2012). The lone senior on the team is guard Taylor Wagener, who played in 13 games last year.
On Friday night, Ohio defeated UNC-Wilmington 85-47 to pick up its second-consecutive win. Ohio jumped out to a 13-point lead against the Seahawks and never looked back as it posted a wire-to-wire win. The Bobcats' 85 point output marked the fourth-consecutive game in which Ohio has scored 80 points-or-more dating back to last season.
Senior forward Ivo Baltic led the Bobcats in scoring as he netted 20 points on 10-of-12 shooting. Baltic was one four players that finished in double figures. Senior Reggie Keely came off the bench and finished the night with 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting. Senior Walter Offutt and junior Nick Kellogg finished with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
The Bobcats will be in search of their 12th-consecutive victory at home on Sunday. Ohio has won 11 straight home games dating back to last season.
