Cooper's Career Night Not Enough, 'Cats Fall in Quadruple Overtime, 112-107
D.J. Cooper scored a career-high 43 points, while adding 13 assists, eight rebounds and eight steals but Ohio dropped one of its longest games in program history, 112-107 in quadruple overtime at St. Bonaventure this afternoon.

The Bobcats, which will take part in their fifth game in 13 days, have not started a year 6-0 since the 1969-70 campaign. In 1969-70, Ohio defeated its opponents by just 5.6 points per game. This year's version of the Bobcats owns a 24.5 margin of victory average, which ranks eighth in the country. Ohio enters the contest as the only undefeated team remaining in the league.

Ohio returns to action for the first time since Saturday afternoon where it defeated Richmond 73-48. Ohio trailed Richmond by three at the half (30-27), but responded in the final 20 minutes, outscoring the Spiders 46-18 to secure the win. Defensively, Ohio held the Spiders to a season low 48 points, limiting Richmond to just 35.1 percent from the field. Richmond came into the game averaging 74.8 points per game.

Senior guard Walter Offutt led the team in scoring for the second time this season as he poured in 16 points. Teammates D.J. Cooper, Jon Smith and Nick Kellogg reached double figures as well scoring 14, 13 and 12 points, respectively.

On the year, Ohio has shot 50.9 percent from the field as a team and connected on 40.2 percent of its shots from 3-point range. Ohio has five players averaging 10.0 points-or-more per game. The Bobcats are the only team in the Mid-American Conference that has five players averaging double figures in scoring.

The St. Bonaventure Bonnies come into Wednesday night's matchup with Ohio in the hopes of improving to 4-1 on the year. In 2011-12, the Bonnies claimed the Atlantic 10 Championship to advance to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2000. In the NCAA tournament, SBU dropped a heartbreaking 66-63 decision to Florida State in the Second Round.

Prior to the 2012-13 campaign, the SBU was picked to finish 11th in the Atlantic 10. The Bonnies' lone loss came in the form of a three point setback at Canisius where it dropped a 72-69 decision to the Griffins. Wednesday will mark St. Bonaventure's third road game this season.

Head coach Mark Schmidt enters his sixth season on the Bonaventure bench after coaching six years at Robert Morris. During his career, Schmidt has posted an all-time record of 159-171. His 2011-12 squad posted a 20-12 record - his best mark since taking over as head coach back in 2007-08.

Wednesday's matchup can be seen through a live stream and can be heard for free on OhioBobcats.com. "Voice of the Bobcats" Russ Eisenstein and Rob Cornelius will call the action live on the Peoples Bank Ohio IMG Sports Network.
