Ohio Earns Another Road Win, Tops Oakland 84-82
Ohio Men's Basketball earned another impressive non-conference road victory with a victory at Oakland this evening, 84-82. The Bobcats (6-1) snapped the Golden Grizzlies' 11-game home winning streak, one of the longest current marks in the nation.
ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University men's basketball team (6-2) will be in search of its 16th straight win at home as it welcomes Oakland (3-6) to the Convocation Center. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

Ohio is undefeated in six home games inside the Convocation Center this season. The Bobcats are averaging 76.0 points per game and have limited their opponents to just 54.7 points per game. Senior D.J. Cooper leads the Bobcats in scoring, averaging 14.0 points per game in Ohio's six home games.
The Bobcats return home for the first time since their 69-64 victory versus St. Bonaventure on Nov. 28. Ohio dropped an 84-58 decision this past Wednesday at Memphis. The `Cats were outscored 48-30 in the second half and shot a season-low 37.5 points per game from the field.
Ohio ranks in the Top 3 in 10 Mid-American Conference statistical categories and leads the league in field goal percentage (.472), assists (16.8), turnover margin (+6.1), steals (10.6), assist/turnover margin (1.2).
Ohio head coach Jim Christian is one win shy of collecting his 200th career victory.
The Golden Grizzlies (3-6) enter Saturday afternoon's matchup with the Bobcats after they defeated Rochester College Thursday night, 88-77. OU led by as many as 28 points in the game and shot over 50 percent for just the third time this season, and first since Boise State (11/11).
Oakland leads The Summit League with 8.4 steals per game and Duke Mondy is eighth in the country with a team-best 24. The Golden Grizzlies are creating 15.0 turnovers per game.
Ohio's Saturday afternoon meeting with Oakland will mark the fifth all-time meeting with the Golden Grizzlies. The Bobcats defeated Oakland last season 84-82, ending the Golden Grizzlies 11-game home court winning streak a year ago.
