Andrew Doan is in his first season as a defensive graduate assistant coach at Ohio University, where he will work primarily with the linebackers this fall.

Prior to arriving at Ohio, Doan served for one year as the assistant linebackers coach and coordinated alumni relations at his alma mater, Morehead State.

Doan was an assistant coach at Pioneer League tri-champion Butler in 2012. In addition to working with the defensive linemen, Doan focused on film operations, scouting, recruiting and camp operations.

He coached a First-Team All-PFL choice (Jeremy Stephens), the league's Defensive Freshman of the Year (Kyle Annis) and two honorable mention selections (Annis and Glen Somers).

Doan served as a graduate assistant in the University of Dayton's psychology department in 2011-12. Doan is a 2010 Morehead State graduate, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology.

As a player, Doan was a three-time All-Pioneer Football League selection at defensive end. He was named to the first team as a sophomore in 2007, and tabbed to the second team as a junior in 2008 and senior in 2009. Doan recorded 133 tackles, 41.5 tackles for loss and 18.5 sacks as an Eagle.

Doan is a native of Dublin, Ohio and a graduate of Coffman High School.
