Ohio will take on Akron beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday

2012: Appeared in 11 games and made one start... His lone start occurred in the Bobcats' 45-14 victory over Louisiana-Monroe in the Independence Bowl... Played in Ohio's 24-14 win at Penn State on Sept. 1.

2011: Played four games for the Bobcats ... Made one tackle against Gardner-Webb on Sept. 10 ... Caught one pass at Rutgers on Sept. 24 for a gain of 14 yards.

Prior to Ohio: Played tight end, left tackle, right tackle, defensive end, linebacker, strong safety, defensive tackle and kicker at Lee County High School ... Named MVP of the Georgia v. Florida game as a senior where he caught seven passes for 87 yards ... Three-year letterwinner in football and baseball ... As a baseball player, held the lowest ERA in school history at 0.40 ...
