During his prep career at Saint Albert High School, he helped his squad earn two Iowa State titles, playing both wide receiver and quarterback... Was selected as a two-time First Team All-State honoree... Earned four varsity letters in football and basketball... Lettered for three years in track and field and once in soccer... Was teammates with fellow newcomer Tyler Branz.
