The first interception of the afternoon was courtesy of redshirt freshman Chad Moore (Grove City, Ohio), who picked off junior quarterback Derrius Vick (Lincoln, Neb.) on the first offensive series. He then raced 31 yards the other way for the game's only touchdown. Moore finished with a game-high five tackles.

Redshirt freshman Bradd Ellis (Lebanon, Ohio) also turned in a strong performance as he finished with four tackles and an interception.
