Game Notes

-Ohio's meeting with Louisville was its first contest with the Cardinals since 1959.

-With the loss, Ohio falls to 3-2 all-time against Louisville.

-Ohio's setback to Louisville marked the first time since 2009 in which the Bobcats have not won their season opener.

-The 55,332 fans at Sunday afternoon's game was the second largest crowd ever at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.

-Ohio's matchup with Louisville marked the first time the Bobcats had faced a Top 10 opponent since their 2010 contest against Ohio State (No. 2 ranking).

Offensive Player Notes

-Quarterback Tyler Tettleton finished the game with 140 yards passing. He went 11-of-23 through the air.

-Senior running back Ryan Boykin gave the Bobcats their only touchdown on the afternoon. It was his ninth career rushing touchdown and the 10th of his career.

-Senior Anthony Talbert caught his first career pass in an Ohio uniform as he hauled in a 36-yard reception.

-Senior offensive lineman Jon Lechner made his 26th career start on Sunday against Louisville.


Defensive Player Notes

-Junior linebacker Brandon Atwell, junior safety Josh Kristoff and sophomore linebacker Ben Russell each tallied a team-best eight tackles.

-Senior defensive back Travis Carrie made his first career start since the 2011 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

-Senior safety Xavier Hughes recorded his first interception since the Bobcats' matchup at Rutgers on Sept. 24, 2011.

-Freshman defensive end Tarell Basham tallied his first career sack.

-Redshirt sophomore Devin Bass had a game-high 124 return yards.
