Scott Mayle had 4 of Ohio's 5 receptions in the first half. Mayle ended the game with 5 receptions for 38 yards.

Ernie Hodge and Shane Yates recorded Ohio's first safety since the 2004 Toledo game.

Ernie Hodge recorded his first career sack for Ohio. He also recorded his first career forced fumble.

T.J. Wright recorded his first fumble recovery which led to his first fumble recovery for a touchdown for his second career touchdown. Wright had previously run back an interception for a touchdown.

Wright's 35-yard return was the Bobcats' eighth defensive touchdown since the start of the 2004 season. Ohio had three last season, all by All-America Dion Byrum.

Matt Lasher kicked his first career field goal for Ohio with his 29-yard make with :07 left in the first half. He finished with field goals of 29 and 20 while also connecting on all three of his PATs.

Mitch Morsillo had his first career rushing attempt and ran for his first, first down. Morsillo had three rushing attempts in the game for four yards.

Chris Garrett returned his first career punt return for 32 yards.

The game marked the second straight home opener that the Bobcats did not allow an offensive touchdown. Pitt's lone touchdown in the 2005 opener came on a kickoff return.

Austen Everson moved into ninth place on Ohio's career pass attempts list. Everson's now has 372 attempts, passing Dontrell Jackson and Ryan Hawk.
