Offensive Player Notes
-Quarterback Tyler Tettleton hit junior wide receiver Chase Cochran on the first play of the game for a 75-yard touchdown pass. The play tied for the 10th-longest pass play in school history.
-With the win, Tettleton improved to 20-9 for his career as a starter.
-Cochran finished with six receptions totaling 103 yards increasing his consecutive three-game total to 313 yards starting with last year's Independence Bowl victory over Louisiana-Monroe.
-Tettleton finished the game with 239 yards passing and in the process surpassed 6,500 yards for his career.
-Running back Ryan Boykin's second quarter receiving touchdown was his second career receiving touchdown. The last time he hauled in a receiving touchdown was in 2011 against Kent State.
-Boykin finished the game with 93 yards on 19 carries.
-Senior running back Beau Blankenship had two carries of 20+ yards, one for 26 yards and one for 28 yards.
-Senior wide receiver Donte' Foster finished with six receptions for 59 yards putting him 11 yards short of Ohio's all-time career receiving yards top 10 list.
Defensive Player Notes
-Jovon Johnson's interception return for touchdown in the second quarter was the Bobcats' first interception return for touchdown since 2011 (Jelani Woseley - Gardner-Webb).
-Johnson also recorded his first fumble recovery.
-Xavier Hughes recorded an interception for the second consecutive game.
-Sophomore Ben Russell posted a career-high nine tackles, including one sack.
-Josh Kristoff led the Bobcats with 10 tackles.
-Ohio forced four turnovers including two fumbles and two picks.
-The `Cats now hold a 2-0 series record against the Mean Green.
