Ohio University Postgame Quotes

Ohio head coach Frank Solich
"It was clear to me that we did not play well enough in the first half. Obviously it was a poor half of football for us. Usually you don't win football games by only playing two quarters. I thought we responded well, at times, in the second half. But, obviously didn't play well enough to win. Turnovers were a huge issue in the game. Something that we definitely do a pretty good job of is taking care of the ball and not hurting ourselves. A lot of plays in that ball game cost us, those opportunities cost us a chance to win."
On Central Michigan
"I knew they were a big, physical football team and so I presumed that they would try to run it at us, and they made way too many explosive plays in the running game, that's what hurt us very much in the first half. They had one in the second half, but overall, I thought we did a much better job in the second half of stopping the run."
On the Bobcats' goal of getting to the MAC Championship
"We can still control our own destiny in the MAC, and that's obvious. There's going to be a lot of competitive football games through the rest of the season, there's going to be some things that develop that if you still want to play good football, you can have a shot, and I think we'll have a team that will have a shot."
Ohio QB Tyler Tettleton
On the loss
"We just didn't execute the way we wanted to in the first half. We just didn't play the way we are used to playing."
On Travis Carrie's fumble
"It's not Travis's (Carrie) fault we lost this game. It's a collection of the whole team, I had two turnovers as well, so you can't blame just one person."
Ohio WR Donte Foster
On the loss
"There were things that we should have done better, so that we were not in that situation. The first half was awful on the offensive side of the ball and we have to do better. There is no reason we should only have three points at halftime. We just have to move on and correct ourselves off of that performance."
"This game is over. We lost it. We know we have to play better. We have to put this game behind us, go back to practice and do what we always do which is prepare for the next game (Eastern Michigan). We are not going to dwell on this loss because there are still a lot of opportunities to make it to the MAC championship and that's our team goal. We know that we've got to fight harder. "
"We have to come out there and execute plays better. We knew that we were going to hit adversity at some point and we didn't handle it the best."
On Second Half
"We just were not clicking but in the second half we turned that around."
Central Michigan head coach Dan Enos
On the offense
"The whole key is to be balanced. It doesn't matter what kind of offense you run, you have to create balance to keep the defense on their toes. That's our goal every week - sometimes we're able to achieve it, sometimes we're not."
On Saylor Lavallii's performance
"He's tough. He has great vision and great patience on his runs. He's on his fourth start now and he's really just growing up right before our eyes. I can't say enough about him."
On the final comeback
"That drive at the end is big time against a great team in a great environment. It's huge for us."
Central Michigan QB Cooper Rush
On the game
"The offense was able to pick each other up when we needed to and make the plays when we needed them to get the win. We were playing within the system and were smarter with the ball this week."
Central Michigan WR Courtney Williams
On the teamwork
"When one of us goes down, the others are expected to pick up the group. That's just a given. We had some players step up and make good plays. I give a lot of credit to Lavallii, he did a lot of work out there and a great job."
On the game
"This is a big win. It's a great team coming off a four-game win streak. This was a tough one and we were just lucky enough to come out with the win."
