First Half:

-          Michael Braunstein continued to build on his single season school record with his 17^th field goal of the year to open up scoring at 11:58 of the first quarter.

-          On the ensuing kickoff, Akron's Bryan Williams returned it 95 yards for a touchdown ... It marked the first kick return score Ohio has allowed since Oct. 22, 2005 versus Ball State.

-          At 11:02 in the first quarter, Kalvin McRae built upon his own Ohio single-season rushing touchdown record with a 54-yard run, his 18^th of 2007.

-          At 13:30 of the second quarter, Braunstein booted his seventh field goal of the year of 40 or more yards ... This measured 43.

At the Half:  Akron 20, Ohio 13

-          Ohio out-gained Akron 196-176 in the half and had a 17:35-to-12:25 advantage in time of possession.

-          McRae registered 92 yards on 15 carries while Bower had 102 yards on 8-of-15 passing ... Of McRae's 92, 87 came in the first quarter.

Second Half:

-          With a 12-yard run midway through the third quarter, McRae went over the 100-yard mark for the game.

-          Braunstein made his third field goal of the game at 5:11 in the third ... It marked the third time this year he has made three or more in a game.

-          In the third quarter in which Akron outscored Ohio 14-11, the Zips out-gained the Bobcats 123-64.

-          With 13:29 remaining in the fourth quarter, Matt Schulte booted a new career-long 62-yard punt.

-          At 8:13 in the fourth quarter, Brad Bower tossed his second touchdown pass of the game, this one to Andrew Mooney ... Mooney now has six receiving scores this year, which ties him for fourth on Ohio's all-time single season list.

Final:

-          Akron broke the deadlock in the all-time series and now leads 12-11-1.

-          McRae broke Steveland Hookfin's school record with his 20^th career 100-yard rushing game.

-          Bower tied an Ohio career high with three touchdown passes.

-          Chido Nwokocha established a new career high with six receptions.

-          Joshua Abrams set a new career high with 173 kick return yards ... The 173 yards ranks as the third-highest single-game total in Ohio history.

-          Mooney tied a single-game career-high with two touchdown receptions.

-          Landon Cohen tied a career-high with 3.5 tackles-for-loss.

-          Noah Keller had a career-high six total tackles.

-          Ohio has scored 328 points this year for an average of 29.8 per game ... Those marks currently rank third and fifth, respectively, in Bobcat history.

-          Ohio has scored 35+ points five times this year ... The last time an Ohio team did that was during the 2000 season.

-          Ohio has allowed 40+ points in three of its last five games ... The 48 points allowed tonight are the most  by  an Ohio team since No. 24 Miami registered 49 on Nov. 22, 2003.
