Ohio Notes

Senior linebacker, Tyler Russ picked off his team leading third interception of the season on Akron's first drive of the game. The interception was Russ' sixth of his career.

Junior tailback Kalvin McRae scored on a three yard run in the second quarter for his 12th touchdown of the season. McRae is now tied for fourth in single-season rushing touchdowns and has sole possession of fifth place in career touchdowns at Ohio.

Senior linebacker, Matt Muncy picked up a fumble in the endzone with 3:13 left in the second quarter. Akron had a low snap while attempting a punt and Muncy recovered the loose ball for his first touchdown on the year and his second career touchdown.

McRae's 136 rushing yards moved him into sole possession of fifth place in career rushing yards. McRae now has 2,671 yards for his career. McRae's 136 yards was his sixth straight 100-yard game, extending his own school record.

Matt Lasher's 18-yard field with 5:03 left in the third quarter completed an 18-play, 73-yard drive that took 9:57 off the clock. The 18-play drive was the most plays on a scoring drive since a 20-play scoring drive in 2002 against Florida.

Lasher's 18-yard field was his 10th of the season. Lasher has now moved into a tie for sixth place for made field goals in a season.

Senior cornerback, T.J. Wright picked off a Luke Getsy pass with 10:12 left in the fourth quarter. The interception was Wright's 12th career interception which ties him for fourth place in career interceptions with Mike Schott. Wright defended three passes in the game, breaking the Ohio all-time record with 52 for his career.

Akron Notes

Sophomore Andre Jones forced his third fumble of the year on a Kalvin McRae's seven- yard run inside the red zone. Junior Davanzo Tate recovered the fumble for his second fumble recovery with 5:47 left in the first quarter.

Senior Jermaine Reid picked up his first fumble recovery on the season on an Austen Everson fumble with 5:55 left in the second quarter.

Senior Jason Nedd forced an Austen Everson fumble with 1:23 left in the second quarter. The forced fumble was Nedd's first on the season and junior Brion Stokes collected his first fumble recovery of the year.

Freshman David Harvey, who is the leading freshman wide receiver in the nation in yards per game, had two catches for 32 yards

Akron's leading tackler, sophomore Kevin Grant, had five tackles including two tackles for a loss of 12 yards for Ohio.

Wide receiver Jabari Arthur had seven catches for 95 yards and scored on a 19-yard touchdown pass with 6:56 left in the fourth quarter. The touchdown was Arthur's fourth touchdown on the season.
