-The Bobcats dropped their third-consecutive game.
-Ohio's Tuesday night matchup versus Kent State marked its 61st appearance on the ESPN Family of Networks since 2005.
-Ohio's meeting with Kent State marked the 65th all-time meeting between the two schools. The Bobcats hold the all-time series lead at 39-24-2.
-The Bobcats have dropped three of their last four meetings to the Golden Flashes.
-Ohio scored on its first offensive possession for the seventh time this season. The Bobcats fell to 42-13 since 2005 after scoring first.
-The Bobcats trailed Kent State 17-13 at the half. Ohio fell to 0-5 when trailing at the half.
-Head coach Frank Solich drops to 4-4 all-time against Kent State.

Offensive Notes
-Quarterback Tyler Tettleton finished the game by going 11-of-24 for 132 yards. He also threw one touchdown.
-With his one touchdown pass, Tettleton has now tied former Akron quarterback Charlie Frye for 16th on the MAC all-time career list.
-Tettleton has now thrown 64 career touchdown passes and has at least one touchdown pass in 40 of his 47 career games.
-Tettleton's 132 yards passing moves him past former Bobcat signal-caller Theo Scott for third on the single season passing yards list.
-Senior running back Beau Blankenship rushed for a team-best 76 yards rushing.
-Blankenship is now just 30 yards shy of passing former Bobcat Chad Brinker for fifth on the all-time career rushing list.
-Offensive lineman Jon Lechner logged his 30th career start.

Defensive Notes
-Sophomore linebacker Ben Russell tallied a team-best eight tackles (five solo).
-Russell leads the team with 74 tackles.
-Senior Travis Carrie recorded his first sack of the year.
-Ohio has now tallied 30 sacks on the year. The Bobcats' 30 sacks are ranked fifth all-time for a single season.

Special Teams Notes
-Sophomore kicker Josiah Yazdani drilled a pair of field goals as he connected from 20 and 49 yards out.
-Yazdani has not missed a field goal this season.
-Redshirt junior Nathan Carpenter had a career-high 43-yard kickoff return in the first half. Carpenter finished the game with a career-best 124 kick return yards.
