-The Bobcats appeared in their fifth-consecutive bowl game.
-Ohio is one of only 21 schools in the country to appear in five straight bowls.
-Ohio's matchup with East Carolina marked the third meeting between the two schools.
-East Carolina leads the all-time series 3-0.
-Ohio's matchup with ECU marked the third Conference USA team the Bobcats have faced this season.
-The Bobcats' matchup with the Pirates was aired on ESPN. Ohio has had 63 games aired on ESPN dating back to 2005.
-Every Ohio football game has been aired on the ESPN Family of Networks this season. -The Bobcats' setback versus ECU marked Ohio's first bowl loss since the 2010 R&L Carrier's New Orleans Bowl.
-Ohio and East Carolina were tied heading into the fourth quarter at 17 apiece, but the Bobcats were outscored 37-20 in the final stanza.

Offensive Notes
-Senior quarterback Tyler Tettleton finished the game by going 21-of-40 for 228 yards. With his 228 yards passing, Tettleton surpassed 9,000 career yards passing.
-Tettleton opened the Bobcat scoring with a 17-yard touchdown pass to sophomore Daz'mond Patterson.
-Patterson's touchdown reception was his first of the season.
-Tettleton has thrown at least one touchdown pass in 42 of his 49 career games.
-Derrius Vick's second quarter 80-yard touchdown pass to Donte' Foster is the longest play in Beef `O' Brady's Bowl history.v -Vick's touchdown pass was his first of the season, while Foster's touchdown reception was his seventh of the year. Foster now has 21 career touchdown receptions.
-Foster's 80-yard touchdown reception was a career long.
-Foster finished the game with a Beef `O' Brady's Bowl record 160 yards receiving.
-Foster finished the year with 1,018 yards receiving. He joins former Bobcat and current Indianapolis Colt LaVon Brazill as the only wide receivers in school history to surpass 1,000 yards receiving in a single season.
-Senior running back Beau Blankenship led the Bobcats with 66 yards rushing.

Defensive Notes
-As a team, Ohio tallied a pair of sacks versus ECU. The Bobcats finished with 36 sacks on the year.
-Freshman defensive end Tarell Basham's sack in the first quarter gave him 7.5 for the year, which is tied for fifth all-time in a single season.
-Defensively, redshirt junior safety Nathan Carpenter and redshirt senior linebacker Keith Moore led the Bobcats with seven tackles apiece.v -As a team, Ohio tallied eight pass breakups.

Special Teams Notes
-Sophomore kicker Josiah Yazdani tied the bowl record for field goals made with two. -Yazdani finished the year by going 2-for-3 on field goal attempts. His lone miss was from 45 yards out and it was his only missed field goal on the year.
-Sophomore punter Matt Green's 59-yard punt in the second quarter tied for the Bobcats' longest boot of the season.
