7-on-7/Big Man On Campus Brochure

ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio football program will host six different camps and clinics throughout the spring and summer. Three rising senior prospect camps, a coaches clinic, a 7-on-7 camp and a linemen camp are all on the schedule for 2006.

The first event is the Bobcat Football Coaches Clinic which will take place April 7-8. The pre-registration deadline is March 31. Registration will take place at the ticket booth inside the North Tower entrance of Peden Stadium on Friday, April 7th. Pre-Registration is $35 per coach. Bring four or more coaches in a group and pay only $25 per coach. You must pre-register to receive the group rate. Walk in registration is $45 per coach. Highlights of the clinic include presentations by the Bobcat staff and top high school coaches from across Ohio and a speech by special guest speaker Barry Alvarez, former head football coach and current athletic director at the University of Wisconsin. Attendees will also have the opportunity to observe a Bobcat practice and scrimmage.

The first of three rising senior prospect camps will be held on June 4 at Peden Stadium. The next two will take place away from the Ohio campus on June 7 at St. Edwards High School in Lakewood, Ohio and June 8 at Liberty High School in Youngstown, Ohio. The cost for the camps is $30 if registered by May 26. The cost for walk-up campers is $40.

The 7-on-7 Shootout and Big Man on Campus will both take place on June 25 in Athens. The 7-on-7 shootout has limited space and costs $200 per team. Teams must be registered by June 20 in order to accommodate scheduling. Each team is guaranteed five games. It is open to players in grades 9-12.

The Big Man on Campus will focus on offensive and defensive line skills and fundamentals. The cost of the camp is $35 per camper. Schools that send four-or-more participants will receive a discounted price of $25 per player. In order to receive the group rate, participants must be registered by June 20. The walk-up cost of the Big Man on Campus is $45. It is open to players in grades 9-12.

Helmts and grass cleats will be necessary for both the 7-on-7 Shootout and the Big Man on Campus. Camp t-shirts are included in the cost (12 per team for 7-on-7). Lunch will be available for $5.
