ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University football team held its annual NFL Pro Day workout on Thursday (March 13) inside the weight room at Peden Stadium and on the field inside Walter Fieldhouse. The Bobcats welcomed back 15 former players, who showcased their talents in front of numerous NFL Scouts.
Among the day's highlights was cornerback Travis Carrie (Antioch, Calif.) posting a 41-inch vertical jump and recording a 4.51 and 4.45 in the 40-yard dash. Wide receiver Donte' Foster (Guthrie, Okla.) also impressed, running the 40 in 4.49 and 4.48 seconds. He had a 42-inch vertical jump.
Carrie, running back Beau Blankenship (Norman, Okla.) and former Ohio running back and current Green Bay Packers scout Chad Brinker caught up with OhioBobcats.com to chat about Pro Day.
Ohio resumes spring practice on Friday (March 14). All spring practices are open to the general public and fans are encouraged to attend. The spring schedule will conclude on April 12 as Ohio plays host to the annual Green and White Game, which will begin at 2 p.m. inside Peden Stadium.
