ATHENS, Ohio -

Wide Receiver LaVon Brazill

On the start of spring practice:

It's going well, real well. I'm just out here trying to get back into peak playing shape and work on some things, but overall it's just great to be back out here with my teammates playing ball.

On individual facets of his game he is working on:

I'm just trying to get back into shape. I'm also working on three other areas of my game; blocking, catching the ball and running my routes. I've just come out here the last two days with a focus to do those things better and improve in those areas.

On the receiving corps:

It's the first week so we're trying to brush up on our schemes and get in sync offensively. We have to get our sets down and that will take time, but as of right now, first impression-wise, we look real good out there. People are making plays and learning on the fly.

Wide Receiver Donte Foster

On his thoughts of the first week of practice so far:

It's only the second day so we're just trying to get in our groove and work towards that team chemistry and everything. We're still shaking the rust off but it seems like we're going to be successful with this offense though.

On what specific goals the team is looking to accomplish in spring ball:

There are a whole lot of open positions out there. We lost Boo and a couple of wide receivers in Steven Goulet and Terrence McCrae, so those are going to be hard to fill. We're just trying to have that quarterback/receiver combination. LaVon is back so he's trying to shake his rust off after missing just about the whole season. So we're just going to keep going and we'll see what we need to do.

On playing football at Ohio:

I had a couple offers, but football stayed in the back of my mind all throughout the basketball season. But I love it here and I know that I'm going to continue to have success doing whatever it is I need to do. I'm going to stick with it.
