ATHENS, Ohio - The second annual Bobcat Blitz presented by Follett's University Bookstore will take place on Saturday, April 21. The full slate of activities begins at 10 a.m. with the Gridiron Gallop 5K Run presented by Diagnostic Hybrids and concludes with the annual Green & White football game presented by American Collegiate Communities at 2 p.m.

The Gridiron Gallop will start and end at Peden Stadium. Registration begins at 8 a.m. in Pepsi Tail-Great Park with the race beginning at 10 a.m. Official t-shirts and goodie bags will be distributed to participants while supplies last, while the top three male and female finishes will each receive a medal.

The activities at Pepsi Tail-Great Park begin at 10:30 a.m. The festivities will include food and beverage offerings from local establishments, performances by the Marching 110, the Ohio cheerleaders and the Ohio dance team, and a tailgating area for the Green & White club and other organizations.

A sports memorabilia auction presented by University Courtyard will also take place at Pepsi Tail-Great Park. Bidding begins at 10:30 a.m. and will run through halftime of the Green & White game. Current items include an autographed photo of Cincinnati Reds' pitcher Bronson Arroyo, a Cleveland Cavaliers gift pack, four tickets to the Reds' game against the Pittsburgh Pirates at Great American Ballpark on May 27 and many other items.

A 64-team cornhole tournament presented by Buffalo Wild Wings gets underway at 11 a.m. The winners of the tournament will receive a set of cornhole boards as well as wings for a year from Buffalo Wild Wings. All participants will get six free wings with a purchase.

The first Rufus' Run presented by Diagnostic Hybrids will take place at 11:30 a.m. Kids 12-and-under will be able to run with Rufus, the Bobcats' official mascot. Day of run check-in and registration will be under the northwest bleachers of Peden Stadium just inside the main entrance near the North Tower. Races for different age groups will be available.

Aside from the Bobcat Blitz events, Ohio Athletics will be hosting a surplus sale beginning at 12 p.m. The sale will take place at Gate 1 of Peden Stadium.

The Green & White game will begin at 2 p.m. at Peden Stadium. Following the contest will be an autograph session along with a fantasy field dash for kids. Buffalo Wild Wings will also host a post-game party.
