ATHENS, Ohio-Following the completion of the 2010 NFL Draft, Ohio cornerback Thad Turner has signed a free agent contract with the Indianapolis Colts.

Turner was named second-team All-Mid-American Conference this season, starting every game for the Bobcats. He posted 60 tackles in 2009 (34 solo, 26 assisted) with a half tackle for loss, an interception and six pass breakups.

For his career, Turner racked up 105 tackles (60 solo, 45 assisted), two tackles for loss, three interceptions and 13 pass breakups. He also recovered two fumbles.

Earlier this weekend, the Bobcats saw wideout Taylor Price go in the third round (90th overall) of the draft to the New England Patriots. The Bobcats and Kent State are the only two Mid-American Conference schools that have had a student-athlete drafted in each of the last three seasons.
