ATHENS, Ohio - With the Ohio University football season just around the corner, OhioBobcats.com will countdown with 100 numbers that #BobcatNation should know coming into this year.
May 22th marks exactly 100 days until the start of the 2014 season, so here are 10 of the first 100 numbers Bobcat fans should remember heading into Ohio's first game at Kent State on Aug. 30.
91 - No. 91 Antwan Crutcher returns for his senior season in 2013. Since stepping on the field as a true freshman in 2011, Crutcher has been played a key role on the Bobcats' defensive unit, logging 105 career tackles.
92 - Ohio will open the 2014 season with three straight road games. The Bobcats have not played three straight road games to open a season since 1992.
93 - As a freshman in 2013, No. 93 Tarell Basham was a one-man wrecking crew for the Bobcats as he finished his rookie campaign with 7.5 sacks, which tied for fifth all-time in a single season. Following the year, Basham was selected to the 13th annual Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) Freshman All-America Team.
94 - In 2013, running back Daz' Patterson rushed for a single-game career high 94 yards against Austin Peay in 2013. Patterson is the Bobcats' returning leader for rushing yards.
95 - Ohio scored 95 points in the first quarter alone during the 2013 season.
96 - In his final home game at Ohio, former Bobcat Travis Carrie had 96 interception return yards against Massachusetts. This May, Carrie was selected in the seventh round of the NFL Draft.
97 - In 2013, Ohio made a habit in getting to the quarterback as it registered 36 sacks as a team, which ranks second all-time. Ohio's 36 sacks in 2013, surpassed the total by the 1997 Ohio squad that posted 34 sacks.
98 - Linebacker Ben Russell and safety Josh Kristoff were two mainstays for the Bobcat defensive unit. In conference play, Russell and Kristoff combined for 98 tackles.
99 - No. 99 Kurt Laseak was key component to the Bobcats defensive unit in 2013 as he registered 43 tackles. Off the field, Leseak was equally impressive as he was named to the CoSida Academic All-District Team.
100 - Kickers Josiah Yazdani and Matt Green were a perfect 100 percent in extra point attempts during the 2013 season. In addition, Yazdani was a perfect 12-for-12 during the regular season in field goal attempts.
