ATHENS, Ohio - The Ohio University football team announced today that its matchup with Marshall University is set to kickoff at 6:30 p.m. inside Joan C. Edwards Stadium in Huntington, W. Va. on Sept. 15.
Ohio and Marshall will meet for the 56th time in school history for the Battle of the Bell. In 2011, the Bobcats defeated the Thundering Herd 44-7 in front of over 24,000 fans at Peden Stadium.
Last season's win over the Thundering Herd was the Bobcats' first victory over Marshall since 2000.
Ohio opens the 2012 campaign at Penn State in front of a nationally-televised audience on ESPN. The game time for the Bobcats' regular-season finale against Kent State, which will air on ESPNU/ESPN3, will be announced as soon as it becomes available.
