Scott Selected to CFPA Watch List

Tremayne Scott

July 3, 2012

ATHENS, Ohio - Ohio University football senior Tremayne Scott was named to the 2012 College Football Performance Awards - Defensive Lineman Watch List on Monday.

Scott was among 35 players nationally and just three players throughout the Mid-American Conference, who were selected to the Watch List for the 2012 CFPA Defensive Lineman Trophy.

The Florida native received the preseason honor after he posted a breakout season in 2011, finishing fourth on the team in tackles (62) en route to earning All-MAC Second Team and CollegeSportsMadness.com All-MAC Third Team honors. He also tied for the team lead in sacks (3.5) and tackles for loss (8.0).

In addition, Scott anchored a defensive line that limited Ohio opponents to less than 100 yards rushing in five games during the 2011 campaign.

Ohio opens the 2012 campaign at Penn State in front of a nationally-televised audience on ESPN. The game time for the Bobcats' regular-season finale against Kent State, which will air on ESPNU/ESPN3, will be announced as soon as it becomes available.
