ATHENS, Ohio - Ohio University football head coach Frank Solich is set to participate in a charity event benefitting the American Heart Association on Saturday, July 20 at O'Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens. The event will be headlined by a charity tricycle race during which Solich will compete against eight local Athens celebrities.
The race begins at 10 a.m. and will see Solich line up wheel-to-wheel against Paul Wiehl (Mayor of Athens), Robin Barnes (Power 105 DJ), Rick Crossen (Athens Police Officer), Greg Long (O'Bleness CEO), and a number of other local celebrities.
There will be three preliminary races beginning at 10 a.m. followed by a final race to determine a champion.
Tickets can be purchased for a minimum $5 donation toward the American Heart Association on the day of the race. In addition to the tricycle race, there will be raffles, a dunking booth, and a host of other fun activities.

Ohio opens the 2013 season on Sunday, Sept. 1 against the University of Louisville inside Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. The game is set to kickoff at 3:30 p.m. and will be aired on ESPN.
