Ohio Sets 2001 Football Home Game Times

Ohio University Director of Athletics Thomas Boeh today announced game times for the 2001 Ohio football home schedule.

The Bobcats begin the home slate on September 22 with a 1 p.m. contest versus Big 12 member Iowa State. The Ohio Sports Network will televise the inaugural game at a renovated Peden Stadium. Following a week off, Ohio battles preseason Mid-American Conference favorite Toledo under the lights with a 6 p.m. kickoff.

Two weeks later, on October 20, the Bobcats will renew pleasantries with Miami on Green & White Club Day. Game time is set for 3 p.m.; it will be televised as part of the Mid-American Conference’s television package on Fox Sports Net. Kent State comes to town for an all-important Homecoming showdown October 27 at 1 p.m. OSN will carry the matchup.

Ohio will close out the home portion of its 2001 schedule November 10 versus Bowling Green. Game time is set for 1 p.m.

The MAC/FSN package will also televise the Bobcats’ road games on August 30 at Akron (7 p.m.) and November 17 at Marshall (3 p.m.). Ohio’s non-conference tilt at N.C. State on September 13 at 7:30 p.m. can be seen as part of the MAC television schedule.
